Pass Plus is a voluntary practical training course for qualified drivers. It is designed to build experience and confidence after the driving test.
The course covers six areas:
- driving in town
- driving in different weather
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways
Training takes at least six hours and may take longer if more practice is needed. There is no final test, but the instructor assesses each module. Costs vary, so ask the instructor what is included before booking.
Some insurers may take Pass Plus into account, but a discount is not guaranteed. Compare the complete insurance price and cover rather than assuming the course will reduce a premium.
